RECYCLING:

I thought it was time to do a little update on our township recycling program.  We are pleased with the participation.  We continue to experience some growing pains and are trying to adapt the program as our budget and donations allow.

A recent survey taken during our Saturday recycling showed about 200 vehicles coming through.  The vast majority were from Morton and Austin Townships.  A handful of participants came in from other townships.

Our recycling program continues to exceed expectations.  Every week we see new residents taking part in the program.  We are pleased to announce that effective this week, we will be able to collect clean (no food or drink containers) Styrofoam.  It should be put in clear bags and can be mixed with all of our other collectable items.  Please refer to our website www.mortontownship.orgfor detailed information on our recycling program.
