Two FREE CPR Classes to be offered @ the Canadian Lakes Fire/Rescue Station

It's not too late to sign up!!  Spots are still open for both the August 12th & September 9th classes!

As many as 400,000 people in the US will suffer from cardiac arrest this year. The majority of these individuals will die before even reaching the hospital. It is fact that if more people were trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the amount of survivors could double or triple.

The Morton Township Fire Department will conduct an American Heart Association video-based class identified as Family & Friends CPR to teach participants how to use CPR to save lives.

A certified instructor will demonstrate the techniques to apply CPR to an infant, child or adult. The instruction will also include providing choking relief. American Heart Association's practice-while-watching technique will help enhance student's learning and retention.

These two (2) free classes will be held on Saturday, August 12, and Saturday, September 9, at 10 A.M., at the Canadian Lakes Fire Station, located at 8260 – 100th Avenue, Canadian Lakes. Space is limited and must be reserved by phone.  Please call Diane at the Township Hall, 231-972-7138, to reserve a seat.
